During the presidential and National Assembly elections on 25 February, the BVAS failed in many polling units across Nigeria, with some election officials saying they had no password for their BVAS machines. Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu State, Peter Mba has won nine out of the 17 local government areas in Saturday's election.

A breakdown of the results shows that Mba is leading in the race.
