Livingston vs Rangers - LIVE updates (Scottish Daily Record)

The Light Blues head across the M8 with Michael Beale looking to maintain his unbeaten run as boss.

Of course, that could come with risks at leaving a higher line, but they weren't challenging at all in the first half and Martindale has noted that. He takes a really heavy touch, which brings Shamal George out to the edge of his six yard-box and he smothers it with easy. The closest David Martindale's men have come is a flick on from a long throw in, but there's been nothing clear cut at all. He's been excellent today, proving gut bursting runs and the cross that led to the penalty incident. He might have cleared the stand, actually...before a free-kick from 30 yards is mulled over by Barisic and Tavernier, with the Englishman finding Morelos who heads from an offisde possision. It's a happy day in the Tavernier household - both he and brother Marcus have scored today. The away support brought a huge banner that blamed the Rangers board and players for winning just two major trophies in 11 years following their demotion to Scottish League Two. A good start for the former Leeds man. Livi are down to 10 men, and it's Omeonga who has been sent off for a second yellow. Stephen Kelly at the back post - he probably could have taken a touch, but with his technique I understand why he's trying to take it first time. They pay their money and support the club and when I’m gone they’ll still be here supporting their club so I understand their frustration sometimes. That was successfully dealt with just before the half-hour mark; a cross from Borna Barisic found Alfredo Morelos' shirt tugged, and after a VAR check the penalty was given.

Livingston 0 Rangers 3: Tavernier steps up as Michael Beale's side ... (HeraldScotland)

RANGERS warmed up for their Old Firm final at Hampden with a 3-0 victory over Livingston as Michael Beale continued his unbeaten run as boss.

Raskin was signed to go straight into the team and improve it. A late cameo against Ross County allowed the Belgian to show glimpses of what he was capable of. That process will continue in terms of the cup competitions this term and then be ramped up again come the summer. Those Rangers supporters who had done their homework on Nicolas Raskin ahead of his move to Ibrox were enthusiastic about what he would bring to the team. The timing of it was bizarre, however, and will surely be questioned by the majority. Since returning to Ibrox in early December, Beale has held up his end of the bargain. That meagre level of success is not what Rangers fans demand or expect but there have been enough positive signs recently to suggest that Beale’s side are heading on the right track. Connor Goldson was fit to start at the back but there was no place for Ryan Jack and John Lundstram as they missed out with calf and ankle issues respectively. This was far from the strongest hand that Beale has had to play during his tenure. Beale insisted that he wouldn’t pick a team here with the final next weekend in mind. With 13 minutes remaining, he had to pick the ball out of his net once again. A James Tavernier penalty had Rangers ahead at the break.

"I think it was two big moments, but up until the sending off I think we were well within the game." "I thought we could go on and get a couple more but it was also nice to see Kemar Roofe get in and amongst the goals as well. Roofe then reacted well to prod home a third as Beale made it six straight league away wins in his start to life as Rangers manager - the last manager to win their first six away games in the Scottish top-flight was Ally McCoist with Rangers in October 2011.
