Tomori recalls journey to UCL and sets aim to 'win every trophy ... (SempreMilan)

Fikayo Tomori has set the target of winning 'every trophy possible' while he is an AC Milan player, and wants to finish his career having 'no regrets'.

“I remember when I scored against Liverpool and looking back, I have to remind myself that I’ve scored for Milan at San Siro in the Champions League. “I think my dream in life – and this might sound a bit cliché – is to not have any regrets. “I remember the first time my dad and I went to a Chelsea game because we’d never actually seen a football game live. “I remember the first call I got from Maldini and he explained straight away that they wanted me. I said to my dad when I got in the car, ‘Dad, I’m not sure I can come back’. “I remember my first day at the academy and suddenly, there are kids from all around London who can do the same thing I can.

UCL Fantasy tips for the round of 16 (Fantasy Football Scout)

Champions League football is back this coming Tuesday! Football fans all over the world must be eager for the elite competition's resumption, just like Fantasy ...

For Porto, there is a certain Diego Costa (€5.2m) in goal, with his insane record of saving penalties. Lautaro Martinez (€8.5m) has scored five goals in his last five Serie A games, while their wing-backs are always good for an attacking contribution but do get rotated a lot. Meanwhile, reigning champions Real Madrid will visit Anfield for a replay of last season’s final. On the same day, Benfica visit Club Brugge and are favourites for progression. This is very important as it gives you the luxury of using free transfers on catching some in-form players and differentials instead of fixing holes. On Wednesday, in-form Borussia Dortmund host a Chelsea side that has drawn their last three league games. The bookmakers are favouring Manchester City to grab their first UCL title but, before Gameweek 23, their recent performances had dipped. Champions League football is back this coming Tuesday! Victor Osimhen (€7.9m, 16 goals and three assists) and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (€5.9m, eight goals and nine assists) are strong contenders to be in my squad, while a strong case can be made for adding an attacking defender like Giovanni Di Lorenzo (€5.1m). Players like Jamal Musiala (€7.0m, ten goals and six assists in the Bundesliga) and Leroy Sane (€9.3m, six goals and three assists) must be strongly considered because the German champions are a real contender for the trophy. Kepa Arrizabalaga (€4.5m) and Reece James (€6.2m) may be my favourite ways of investing in Chelsea, while the current form of Jude Bellingham (€7.5m) makes him the go-to option for Dortmund. The second game of the night will see a Kylian Mbappe-less (€11.3m) Paris Saint Germain host Bayern Munich in a tie that I believe has the French outfit attempting to keep their chances alive for his probable return in the return leg.

UCL Round Of 16: From UCL fixtures to format, All you need to know ... (InsideSport)

UCL Round Of 16, UEFA Champions League, Champions League Round Of 16, UCL Round of 16, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, PSG, Liverpool, Manchester City.

With two games remaining, Julian Nagelmann’s team easily advanced to the round of 16, showcasing their strong defensive play and effective offence. The two matches against Barcelona—a 1-0 home victory and a 3-3 draw in Spain, where Simone Inzaghi’s team displayed outstanding teamwork—were the cornerstones of the qualification process. They exacted retribution on Club Brugge in Belgium before clinching the title with a great final victory against Atlético at home. They enjoyed the finest ever start to a Champions League campaign, playing outstanding football the entire time, crushing teams like Liverpool, Rangers, and Ajax. Graham Potter has quickly rectified the situation of Tuchel’s departure Potter’s team erupted with back-to-back victories over AC Milan before securing first place with a classy display in Austria on . Milan couldn’t have competed with Group E’s champion Chelsea, but they made the most of their home matches to earn the points they required to advance. No team will look forward to playing them in the knockout round after they defeated Juve twice and drew 1-1 with Paris twice before to their historic victory away at Maccabi Haifa. The victory over adversity while playing away at Sporting CP only serves to support that opinion for Frankfurt whose ability to capitalise on their supporters is admired by many. The Reds’ exit from Group A was not as simple as their easy wins over Ajax and Rangers may have suggested. Teams that have a winning record after two legs advance to the quarterfinals. Additionally, flawless performances all around, such as the 5-1 thrashing of Celtic. The first leg will begin from February 14 while the second will begin in March.

They were compact, quick and sharp in the final third but their recent 1-4 loss to Leicester in the EPL has left their fans worried. Spurs have a higher shot conversion rate (11%) than Milan’s (6%). Their 1-0 win against Manchester City in the English Premier League proved that they are moving in the right direction. On top of it, injury to Rodrigo Bentancur and suspension of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg have made things worse for them. Milan have won just two games since the start of 2023, across all competitions. The Bavarians have averaged 17.3 shots in their matches, whereas PSG’s median stands at 14.1. The team have maintained momentum, barring a few draws, but they have made sure that they are never on the losing end in the last five months. The German giants could have an edge over their opponents in attack. On the contrary, Bayern topped Group C (18), which also had Inter Milan and Barcelona. Sergio Ramos could lead the line from the back, in a potential 4-4-2 formation, which coach Christopher Galtier has deployed for 11 times this season. After a break of three months and two weeks, Europe’s most prestigious league would be back in action from Tuesday night. However, since then have lost four of their last 10 matches, two of them coming recently after a thigh injury to their star striker Kylian Mbappe on February 1.

UCL returns with continent's best out to stop English elite (The Herald)

The Abu Dhabi-backed club will still be favourites to overcome RB Leipzig, but they have appeared flawed domestically of late and perhaps the uncertainty surrounding the future will leave them feeling greater pressure to perform in Europe this season. That increases expectations at Stamford Bridge, but only three of their January recruits can feature in their European squad. That provides the backdrop to the return of the Champions League, with the financial gulf between the English Premier League and the continent greater than ever and the promoters of the breakaway Super League project revealing their new vision of how the competition might look.

Serious congestion problems outside the Stade de France in Paris saw thousands of Liverpool fans penned in against perimeter fences.

UCL preview: Liverpool out for revenge against Madrid as PSG ... (TheCable)

The UEFA Champions League (UCL) has resumed from its lengthy break. A lot has changed across the football world since its spine-tingling.

Eintracht Frankfurt might be a worthy test, but Napoli have the momentum and talent to edge it. Unlike previous seasons in recent years, the competition fangled assortments of clash of the titans from its second round. Jurgen Klopp’s side is currently going through a rough patch of form that dropped them far away from the EPL top four than expected. Joao Felix, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Noni Madueke have only shown sparkles, but none has ignited the fire that can shake Chelsea out of their blues. Manchester City are currently under investigation for financial anomalies that could end in expulsion from the English Premier League (EPL). Champions League picks, predictions, odds: Experts split on PSG vs ... (CBSSports.com)

The massive Paris Saint-Germain vs. Bayern Munich clash highlights a fine slate, while Chelsea will look to right the ship and put their poor Premier League ...

Most likely to score a goal: Goals will be hard to come by in the match but singling out one person to find the back of the net, it's Joao Mario. Benfica will have chances all match due to Brugge's struggles as of late but Mignolet is a keeper that can stand on his head to save his defense. [In my bold predictions I make the case for why Chelsea might actually start scoring some goals](https://www.cbssports.com/soccer/news/champions-league-bold-predictions-chelsea-find-their-goals-bayern-munich-play-it-safe-a-surprise-champion/), but that is perhaps best saved for columns that include the very necessary "bold" in front of "predictions." Match prediction: Neither of these teams have particularly set the world alight in the last few months, but Chelsea in particular seem to have uncovered a heady cocktail of underwhelming performances and horrendous luck. Perhaps it is nothing more than the easy narrative but given his growth as his player, the attention that will be on him and how well suited his qualities are to Premier League opposition, does it not seem inevitable that Bellingham will shine the brightest? One matchup to watch: Jude Bellingham's drive and dynamism seems perfectly suited for a clash with a Chelsea midfield who might struggle to stay in the battle with the England international. Expect to see a focused and determined Christophe Galtier side raise their game by a few levels compared to some of the underwhelming displays they have produced of late. Man of the Match pick: Gianluigi Donnarumma has been in inspired form of late and it seems likely that the Italian will have to be at his absolute best if PSG are to have any hope of advancing to the Champions League quarterfinals. The Cameroon international has hit impressive form this season and it feels nailed on that he will find the net again here across the two legs in this tie. In fact, the Rossoneri faced a tough start of the year and only had two wins since the World Cup break while conceding ten goals in the last four games (four against Lazio, five against Sassuolo and one against Inter Milan). I expect the game to be very tactical and he's the one who can make the difference. One matchup to watch: After a difficult start of the year, right-back Theo Hernandez has proven again to be one of the best players in his role, providing a nice assist to Olivier Giroud in Friday's clash against Torino.
