January Transfer Deadline Day: Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez ... (Eurosport.com)

It's everyone's favourite time of the year, well perhaps second-favourite at least, yes that's right, it's Transfer Deadline Day. No, not that Transfer ...

He wants to leave but he doesn’t want to go to Bournemouth. Arsenal are obviously in the more illustrious position right now, but Borussia Dortmund will definitely offer a quicker route to first-team football. This one is probably one for the summer unless Arsenal can make an extremely attractive offer. The problem for Arsenal is the extreme loyalty Zubimendi has for his club. The question is whether he will move this window or not. Not only is he the posterchild of Ecuador’s golden generation, he’s also the best example of the excellent scouting network that Brighton have put together.

Transfer Deadline Day, live! Join our show, send questions, analysis (NBC Sports)

Transfer deadline day is almost here for January 2023, as the winter window shuts at 6pm ET on Jan. 31 for Premier League clubs.

(AE) This asks more questions of Mohamed Salah, who is entering the final year of his deal at Anfield (NM). (JPW) Joe Gomez might not be a first- (or second-) choice center back for Liverpool anymore, with Ibrahima Konate and Joel Matip both out-appearing him last season, but the 25-year-old is keen to continue his seven-year stay an Anfield. They haven’t been shy about splashing the cash on players needed in key areas of the pitch in the past (Virgil van Dijk and Alisson prove that) and Fernandez slots into that category as Liverpool’s midfield needs strengthening and his signing would allow them to be pretty settled for the next four to five years. Eriksen had been wanted by Tottenham, Brentford (where he spent the second half of last season on a short-term deal) and many others, but he’s picked United who seem him as being key to ushering in Erik ten Hag’s possession-based style. (NM) The midfielder is also said to be keen on a move (he’s been offered a five-year contract which will reportedly almost double his wages) and he has just under three years left on his current contract at Real Madrid. After United and Ajax finally agreed a fee of $100 million (after a little push from Antony as he expressed his desire to leave the Amsterdam club), Antony is now ready to head to Manchester to complete the formalities of this huge deal. What a move this would be for a Chelsea team already loaded with attackers, just the latest sign that no one besides (probably) Kai Havertz and Mason Mount are safe in their status with Thomas Tuchel’s Blues. It is reported (below) that Chelsea will pay the Norwegian side $12.7 million for Fofana. This time around, Lukaku scored 15 goals in 44 appearances (all competitions – 8 in 26 in the Premier League), bringing his Chelsea career total to 15 goals.

Transfer Deadline Day: Chelsea Signs Fernandez in Record Deal ... (Sports Illustrated)

With Enzo Fernández, Jorginho and João Cancelo on the move, an eventful winter transfer window came to a close Tuesday.

However, any move would reportedly have to wait on Porro’s potential exit. Multiple reports have linked Barcelona fullback Héctor Bellerin with a move to Sporting Lisbon. The 21-year-old Marseille winger has made only five appearances while on loan to Olympiakos. American international Konrad de la Fuente is closing in on a loan move to Championship side Hull City. Sporting Lisbon had previously agreed to terms and told the right back that he would be allowed to leave before pulling out of the deal. After agreeing to a move for former Real Madrid midfielder Isco, Union Berlin has now announced that the move is off. Bayern Munich midfielder Marcel Sabitzer is set to fly to Manchester ahead of a potential loan move to Man United. Arsenal reportedly saw a £70 million bid for midfielder Moisés Caicedo rejected by Brighton and now the club’s interest appears to be over after moving for Jorginho. The Costa Rican captain, who plays behind Gianluigi Donnarumma, has agreed to the move but the clubs are still negotiating the terms. The 2022 World Cup Young Player of the Tournament reportedly has a release clause for that amount, which Chelsea had previously tried to negotiate before submitting the full fee. Chelsea is reportedly preparing a medical for Benfica midfielder Enzo Fernández as the club looks to seal a £105 million transfer. His deal reportedly includes an option to make the loan permanent in the summer for around €70 million.

Porro ranks second among defenders in the Portuguese top flight for the most crosses played too, with 108 to Grimaldo's 116. This has the makings of a masterstroke signing, with Spain international Porro having caught Spurs' eye in the Champions League group stage earlier this season. He looks set to feature at right-back for Bayern, with Alphonso Davies featuring on the left. Cancelo, until very recently a favourite of Guardiola, is used to winning things with City so should fit in well at Sabener Strasse. Arsenal wanted Moises Caicedo and were prepared to pay a king's ransom for the Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder. This means there can be no excuses now for the head coach as he looks to turn the Blues into a winning machine.
