Igor Despotovic, accused of inciting terrorism acts by posting pro-Islamic State material on social networks, said his main motive was 'boredom'.

Despotovic repeated claims about family savings in the court hearing. One of those was the alleged post about nerve gas. After his arrest, the indictment says Despotovic initially confirmed the allegations to prosecutors “that he directly encouraged the commission of the criminal act of terrorism, adding that he was not aware of all the facts and possibilities that could arise from what he published”. Despotovic told the Belgrade Higher Court he had posted things “out of boredom” and because he wanted “to post religious content”.
