After his arrest, the indictment says Despotovic initially confirmed the allegations to prosecutors “that he directly encouraged the commission of the criminal act of terrorism, adding that he was not aware of all the facts and possibilities that could arise from what he published”. Despotovic told the Belgrade Higher Court he had posted things “out of boredom” and because he wanted “to post religious content”.
