3 Division Nigerian Army, have started the Maiden edition of the Rhino Golf Amateur Tournament in Jos, Plateau State.
The Governor who was represented by the Commissioner For Information Plateau State, Dan Manja, reaffirmed his support to security agencies and commended the military for gradually returning the state to its glory of peace and tourism. While appreciating the Chief of Army Staff for always demonstrating uncommon sagacity to pilot the affairs of the Nigerian Army in a dignified manner, the Patron revealed that numerous infrastructure were recently put in place to upgrade the golf course making it unique and interesting for both training and professional practice. General Ali who is the Patron Rhino Golf and Country Club, noted that the event was the first of its kind since the establishment of the golf club, adding that the competition was aimed to promote the game of golf, bring the citizens closer to the military, make good friends and offer opportunities to the participants for new business connection.

He said a lot of investment in terms of equipment and manpower to improve the survival of preterm babies in Nigeria was needed. Even the risk of congenital malformations (congenital anomalies) are also higher in twin pregnancy,โ he said. Commenting further on why premature babies die, the maternal health expert stated that premature babes have lots of problems to deal with including difficulty in maintaining sugar levels. The gynaecologist explained, โPeople carrying more than one baby have a higher chance of preterm delivery which will lead to premature babies.โ These experts in female reproductive health explained that being pregnant with twins carries a higher risk of premature delivery, adding that giving birth to preterm babies also comes with a lot of other risks. Oshodi, who is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, said one out of three babies born before 37 weeks would die.
