His link-up play looks solid but we still need to see an explosive performance to kickstart his career at the Cottage. Bar the effort that landed at the feet of Kurzawa for the opening goal, Wilson again did not show many signs of the form we saw in last season’s Championship-winning season. Pereira had a couple of dangerous efforts on goal but beyond that any creative impetus was lacking, potentially due to the presence of an extra creative player in Fulham’s midfield in Cairney. While Hull often created the better of the chances throughout the game, Fulham looked the better side on the ball, and it was Fulham’s skipper who dictated the pace of our game throughout, showing a wonderful range of his passing ability. Coped well with the extra responsibility given to him being the lone number 6 in a more attacking midfield than Fulham are likely to start with in any Premier League fixture. A first decent showing in Fulham colours was topped off with a first Fulham goal, even if it was the simplest of tap-ins. 7/10.
