Grateful for the moments and life's gifts in 2022 | Blake Dowling (Tallahassee.com)

For this year I wanted to share some moments that come to mind, from the cool ones to the heartfelt ones, so here goes.

We are all on the journey together and we only have a few special moments, so make time to truly embrace them, together. Who knows, I think I drank 5 cups of coffee and that was what my brain came up with at that moment. Thank you Kim, for the incredible work you do and for the amazing book suggestions ("Rabbits" is the book of the year). She said “what’s the weather like in Vegas this week, l will start packing.” The concert was epic, and we checked all the boxes on a killer moment. I was given a tour of the Goodwill HQ in town, and I was introduced to a gentleman who had just arrived in our country from Afghanistan. I think for the first time ever I am actually paying real close attention to the moment.

My friend Steve Evans emailed me the other day with some kind words and I replied that “life is a gift and we must be careful when unwrapping it.” Hmm. I’ve been friends with that band and those guys for almost 30 years. A lot of great moments just happened in hyperspace.
