Will there be a Far From Home Season 2? (Ready Steady Cut)

This article discusses the possibility of Far From Home season 2 and the renewed or canceled status of the Nigerian Netflix series.

If the fan interest is there then the story might logically follow, but we predict that Far From Home will not be renewed for a second season. Taking that basic premise of shows like [Elite](https://readysteadycut.com/2022/11/18/elite-season-6-review/) and giving it a fairly distinct vibe helps to position Far From Home as a worthwhile outing in an overstuffed genre, and those who discover and enjoy it may be wondering about its future. As ever, Netflix will be waiting to see how the show performs both critically and in terms of watch hours, and they’ll be monitoring the drop-off of those viewing figures especially.

Far From Home Review: Bland Series that Never Picks Up ... (Leisurebyte)

The complete cast of the show includes Funke Akindele, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Mike Afolarin, Elma Mbadiwe, Adesua Etomi, Bolanle Ninalowo, and Bimbo Akintola.

All in all, the series is a sluggish and over-dramatic watch, along with a conviction-ridden job from the actors and writers. The show lacks nearly everything to generate a fraction of intrigue and feels highly stretched and complicated. This five-part show tries to establish all the elements of drama, thriller and a little bit of comedy, into one single unit and fails desperately in the attempt. One day, in an attempt to hustle his way out, he steals a load of cash from the local pub owner/drug mafia and involves himself in an erratic mess. Meanwhile, the protagonist also enrols himself in a top university in Africa, only to become the local drug peddler on the campus. Moreover, the young and ambitious lad from Lagos is mostly involved in cleaning homes, and sells street art, as a way of supporting his dreams.

An artist cheats his way into one of Nigeria's top schools, and has to navigate the class issues there while keeping trouble away from his family.

It does feel like we’re going to transition away from Ishaya’s life in the slums with his family, unless the threats that he has to deal affect his family, like what we saw with Government and Rambo. And he immediately meets Carmen Wilmer-Willoughby (Elma Mbadiwe), a scion of the family that owns the school. At one of Patricia’s wealthy cleaning clients’ home, he overhears a dad tell is son Denrele (Raymond Umenze) that he has the answer key to the Wilmer entrance exam, and that the scholarship comes with a $10,000 reward (worth about 6 million Nigerian Naira). Far From Home: In Conversation with Nino B, Michael and Gbubemi (Culture Custodian)

Culture Custodian had a sit-down with three of the stars of the new and first Nigerian Young Adult Netflix show.

Nino B: I think rather than surprise the audience, Far From Home will help them arrive at a realization that we all, especially the young adults that will be watching, are like Ishaya than we know. I was a bit taken aback the first the first time I saw it on set though, I was like ‘Oh snap! I connected to the part of her that fixed situations and got things done. Nino B: Oga Rambo’s character is one that I’ve always wanted to play so I’m first of all glad that I got to do that on a global scale. Ishaya, despite his shortcomings, was also very relatable and I think the audience will share the same sentiment. We had a conversation about the characters they play on the show.
