Next year, the Annual Conference will be held in Istanbul, a UNESCO Creative City of Design, with the aim of strengthening the UCCN's commitment to shaping "Future-proof Cities". This year, the Annual Conference was held in Santos, a Creative City of Film since 2017, bringing the conference to the Latin America and the Caribbean region for the first time. Following the presentations made by the candidate cities during the XIV Annual Conference in July 2022, an online vote was organized by the UCCN Secretariat to select the Host City for the XVI Annual Conference.
