Premier League Big Match Focus: How to back a 6/1 bet builder in ... (Betting.betfair)

In this week's Big Match Focus, Tom Victor previews Arsenal v v Nottingham Forest as the league leaders look to make it three wins from three against ...

There have been surprises this season, and few anticipated Forest getting the better of Liverpool last time out. Each of Forest's victories in the Premier League this term have also been 1-0, and that was also the score in their play-off final victory over Huddersfield Town in May. At home, you have to go all the way back to November 2010, when a goal from Andy Carroll was enough for Newcastle United to leave with all three points. Forest's victory over Liverpool came by virtue of a Taiwo Awoniyi goal, and the Nigerian has scored both of his team's winners so far this term. The previous first-timers were West Ham United in 2007 and Hull City the following year, both by a 1-0 scoreline. The Gunners ran out winners the last time the teams faced off in north London, though, with Gabriel Martinelli notching twice in a 5-0 victory.

Arsenal vs. Nottingham Forest Preview & Prediction: Expect a Clean ... (The Action Network)

Premier League title contenders Arsenal look to rebound from their first major speed bump when they host a Nottingham Forest team coming off an historic ...

Forest is none of these teams, having found the net only once on their travels so far. But it’s hardly the first time Forest could’ve made life easier on themselves. They’ll be playing on less than 72 hours rest now for the fourth consecutive Sunday, part of what makes competing in the Europa League so difficult. Forest shocked Liverpool 1-0 a week ago at The City Ground, snapping an eight-match league winless run. Arsenal have gone two matches without a victory for the first time, drawing Southampton away 1-1 last weekend before taking a frustrating 2-0 defeat at PSV Eindhoven in Thursday’s UEFA Europa League action. And it could’ve even been 2-0 without Alisson’s late 1-on-1 denial of Ryan Yates.

Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest simulated to get a score prediction (Nottinghamshire Live)

Nottingham Forest take on Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday, so we simulated the game on FIFA 23 to try and predict the final score.

As the midfielder burst in between the two Arsenal shirts, he curled a shot around the 'keeper with the outside of his boost to send Forest ahead. FIFA 23 predicts that a spirited Forest performance could see the Reds claim a well-earned point against Arsenal on Sunday. Arsenal made it 2-2 not long after Forest took the lead, with the winger finishing off a slick passing move to level the score. Under pressure from the Forest attack, William Saliba played a loose pass across his box, past Gabriel and to the feet of Ryan Yates. Neither side could find a winner, and the clash ended all square. But, a late goal from Martin Odegaard saw Arsenal come from behind again to make it 3-3. Their rampant pressing of the Arsenal backline forced the hosts into an error that saw Forest go 2-1 up. Forest started the game well, but their strong defensive display was undone after half an hour when Gabriel Martinelli fired Arsenal ahead from close range. Omar Richards, Moussa Niakhate and Jack Colback are guaranteed absentees for Forest on Sunday, whilst Harry Toffolo is set to remain out after missing the last two games with a hamstring injury. To run this simulation, we used FIFA 23, updating the squads with the latest injuries and suspensions. We simulated the game to try and find out. Former Liverpool striker Taiwo Awoniyi netted the only goal of the game whilst Dean Henderson produced another fine display in goal for Steve [Cooper](https://www.nottinghampost.com/all-about/steve-cooper)'s side.

[Leicester](https://www.mirror.co.uk/all-about/leicester-city-fc) vs [Manchester City](https://www.mirror.co.uk/all-about/manchester-city-fc) on Saturday lunchtime and Sky Sports screening [Fulham](https://www.mirror.co.uk/all-about/fulham-fc) vs [Everton](https://www.mirror.co.uk/all-about/everton-fc) in their usual Saturday 5.30pm slot, that meant that the slightly unusual 7.45pm Saturday slot had to be created for Liverpool vs Leeds. [Manchester United](https://www.mirror.co.uk/all-about/manchester-united-fc) take on [West Ham](https://www.mirror.co.uk/all-about/west-ham-united-fc) at 4.15pm at Old Trafford on Sunday, and while that match will be shown live on Sky Sports, the [Arsenal](https://www.mirror.co.uk/all-about/arsenal-fc) vs Forest match will not. [Chelsea](https://www.mirror.co.uk/all-about/chelsea-fc) vs Arsenal, kicks off at midday on Sunday after Arsenal have played FC Zurich in the Europa League on Thursday. [Liverpool](https://www.mirror.co.uk/all-about/liverpool-fc) playing Napoli in their final [Champions League](https://www.mirror.co.uk/all-about/champions-league) group game on Tuesday, and having played away at Ajax in the same competition last Wednesday, their match at home to Jesse Marsch's side could only be played on Saturday this weekend. All of which means that despite being the only Premier League match on Sunday at 2pm, Arsenal vs Forest can't be shown by a UK broadcaster. In a typical Premier League weekend between four and five matches will be shown live in the UK - one on BT Sport, usually on Saturday lunchtime, and three or four on Sky Sports, potentially one on Saturday evening, two on Sunday, and one on either Friday night or Monday night. As is usually the case in the Premier League, Arsenal, Manchester United and West Ham are all playing on Sunday having played European matches on Thursday, with Arsenal and United involved in the Europa League and West Ham in the Europa Conference League. [welcome Nottingham Forest to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/arsenal-nottingham-forest-tv-channel-28351620), with the match kicking off at 2pm GMT - with the clocks having gone back in the UK in the early hours of Sunday morning. [Premier League](https://www.mirror.co.uk/all-about/premier-league) on Sunday won't be shown live on television in the UK, and that seems set to catch plenty of fans out. In previous weeks this season the trio have all played matches on Sundays while Sky Sports have chosen different matches to show live, but Manchester United's game at home to West Ham has been deemed to be a tasty enough prospect for Sky bosses this weekend. That 2pm Sunday slot has become a staple kick-off time in the Premier League, with fans used to a top-flight match being shown before a second one later in the day, usually a 4.30pm kick-off or sometimes 4.15pm.

Tomiyasu is the latest Arsenal player to have a dig, this from a corner. The Gunners are suddenly in need of a lift. he sees Martinelli darting in, making a diagonal run across, he fires it in towards him and the Brazilian gets a clinical header on it, beyond Henderson. All of Forest's threat has come from Arsenal errors, including that moment of insanity from Gabriel a few minutes before the break. Arsenal are top of the league. Worrying moments for Arsenal and England as Bukayo Saka limps off the pitch. More pain was to come for Forest, with Martin Odegaard soon lashing a fine finish high into the net after he had combined with Jesus inside the area. Nelson scored his second just three minutes later, converting a cross from Jesus, before the winger rolled a simple pass into Partey on the edge of the box. Nelson ended the day with two goals and an assist to his name, playing a major role in three of Arsenal’s five strikes past Forest’s alarmingly flimsy defence. The 22-year-old had not featured in the Premier League since August last year, but here he played with the same daring and skill that Saka so often provides. Not only that: Nelson went on to contribute in the same decisive manner that Saka has done so regularly in an Arsenal shirt. For much of Reiss Nelson’s time in the Arsenal academy, he was regarded as the club’s most outrageously talented young attacker.

The winger was on the wrong end of a kick in the first couple of minutes, and spent the next 25 minutes or so trying to run it off. Not content with that, he added an assist for our fourth goal – though in honesty it was all about the finish. After good work from Odegaard and Jesus, he ghosted across at the near post to flick in the third. But he was clearly in some discomfort, and he was replaced by Nelson – his first Premier League appearance since the opening day of last season. Partey was next to try his luck, but his shot from the edge of the box was blocked, and Takehiro Tomiyasu had a volley deflected behind in a lively opening ten minutes. The Brazilian continued his run to get on the end of Saka’s low cross with a great diving header, darting in ahead of his marker.
