Champions League: Sir Kenny Dalglish thinks a Liverpool win over ... (Planet Sport)

Sir Kenny Dalglish believes a Liverpool victory over Rangers in Tuesdays Champions League clash at Anfield is by no means guaranteed.

"You are not going to be able to do that. So I don't think it is a leveller." Celtic never played as well as they can play or have played. So you need a little bit of luck. There is nothing (that is) a formality. You can always get an upset.

Antonio Colak double leads Rangers' rout of Hearts before Devlin ... (The Guardian)

Rangers ran out 4-0 winners at Hearts, with Cammy Devlin's dismissal ending hopes of a fightback after Antonio Colak's two first-half goals.

Both sides made double substitutions at the start of the second half and Hearts’ two replacements almost had a swift impact when Halliday headed wide from Robert Snodgrass’s corner in the 48th minute. The visitors’ second goal arrived 10 minutes later, however, when Matondo slipped a nicely weighted pass into the path of Colak who clipped a lovely finish past Gordon from the angle of the six-yard box. Hearts tried to find a response and Humphrys threatened with a couple of powerful strikes from outside the box.

The Rangers star at his best as trio impress - How the players rated ... (The Scotsman)

Antonio Colak scored a first-half double, while Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent added goals three and four late on. Here is how the Rangers players involved rated ...

The winger looked like it was going to be another frustrating game in front of goal. The Rangers striker was at his efficient best, scoring a fantastic header before running onto a Matondo pass to confidently fire past Gordon. Rangers fans will be hoping there is more to come from the summer signing but when he has space to run into he can be a real threat. His attacking influence only started to be seen in the second half and combined well for the third goal scored by Morelos. Got stronger as the game went on and kept Shankland quiet before a very quiet second half. A very quiet afternoon for the Rangers No.1, certainly compared to previous visits.

Three burning issues as Rangers cruise to Hearts win that could ... (HeraldScotland)

RANGERS moved into pole position in the Premiership title race and above Old Firm rivals Celtic with victory over Hearts at Tynecastle.

It would have been almost impossible for anyone in the home end to argue that Hearts were going to come back from two goals down and earn three points here. The Champions League clash with Liverpool looks more suited to Morelos than his forward compatriot and it may well be that Colak misses out at Anfield. The second half was something of a non-event in truth.

Sir Kenny Dalglish insists a Liverpool victory over Rangers in Tuesday's Champions League clash at Anfield is no formality.

Match Report: Hearts 0-4 Rangers (Rangers Football Club)

A FIRST-HALF double from Antonio Colak helped Rangers to an impressive 4-0 victory against Hearts at Tynecastle this afternoon.

The Gers captain returned the ball to the striker, who had made his way into the box, and he blasted a powerful right-footed shot beyond Craig Gordon. It was a great start at Tynecastle for Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men and they were two goals to the good just before the half-hour mark. The Croatian took a great touch to release Ryan Kent on the left and he drove forward. Connor Goldson sent a long ball forward which Hearts managed to clear but it was only as far as striker Antonio Colak. Ben Davies came closest with the third set-piece as James Tavernier’s ball met the head of centre-back but he was denied by Craig Gordon. Hearts were reduced to 10 men on the 39th minute as Cameron Devlin was shown a straight red card as he lunged in on Rabbi Matondo as the Gers winger was holding the ball up at the touchline.
