Those who know Adamu well enough will confirm that the tone of that letter reflects his expression; always wanting to be in control of everything. As such, an unsigned “DRAFT” letter of the kind in circulation is patently unnecessary and of no qualitative value to engagement between the Party and the PCC. “Whether the APC denied the letter or not, Adamu has achieved his aim by indirectly using the media to pass his message. Eighteen political parties vying for elective positions in next year's general election, yesterday, signed an agreement for peaceful conduct before, during, and ...

This will be your own way of showing appreciation for the work of the NPC and an affirmation of your contribution to electoral peace in Nigeria. “The implication is that for the next 148 days, political parties, candidates and their supporters are free to traverse the country, holding meetings, rallies, processions and door-to-door campaigns. The INEC chairman said it was not enough to sign the peace accord, as what was more important was to abide by its letter and spirit. This is important considering the connection between peaceful campaigns, on the one hand, and peaceful and credible elections, on the other. Baba listed the prohibitive acts, which politicians and their supporters were to avoid in line with the electoral law. Therefore, I call on all Nigerians, political parties, politicians, security agencies, the election management body (Independent National Electoral Commission – INEC), and all stakeholders to ensure that Nigeria is placed first above regional and sectional claims.” Buhari enjoined Nigerians, political parties, politicians, security agencies, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and all stakeholders to ensure that the country was placed above all regional and sectional considerations. He is in London because they would not let him rest in Lagos; he comes into Abuja most of the time and they would still not let him rest. “Tinubu is the big masquerade in the field and he will come out last.” It has shifted focus away from issue-based campaigns to amplifying the potential for personal attacks, insults, and incitement. It is a non-governmental initiative conceptualised in 2014 with the objective of supporting free, fair and credible elections in Nigeria. “This man (Tinubu) has been working for an average of 20 hours daily, so some people thought he needed to leave the country because they would not let him rest.

The electorate needs to be fully informed on the process and be able to voice their concerns. Without further admonishment or complaints, I wish hereby to call upon Your Excellency to restrain the PCC from undertaking solo projects of this nature, and agree to work with all stakeholders towards taking our Party to victory. May I therefore, point out to Your Excellency, that winning elections is a cooperative as well as collaborative effort, that is done in transparency and disinterested manner by all parties concerned, by respecting established boundaries and acknowledging the contributions of everyone. It is only by doing so that we will establish the premise for victory and gain the trust and confidence of our dear countrymen and women. Our recollection of those meetings clearly leaves us in no doubt that a breach of agreement has occurred, and that a return to the principles of cooperation and respect for each other is required. It is against this background that the NWC received with astonishment and regret, the press release by the PCC on 23rd September, 2022, in which a purported list of appointees was announced, which effectively served as the approved roster of participants in the Party’s Presidential Campaign Council. This correspondence has become necessary in view of developments that took place over the last few days around the purported appointments into the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) that was announced precipitately by officials of the Council, without making a recourse to the NWC for approval.

APC: Withdrawal of letter to Tinubu tears NWC apart (Daily Sun)

Fresh crisis has hit the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following the retraction of a 'draft letter' purported.

We will not be distracted by the wishes and actions of detractors that wait gleefully but in vain for some kind of crisis to erupt between the party and the PCC. “As such, an unsigned “draft” letter of the kind in circulation is patently unnecessary and of no qualitative value to engagement between the party and the PCC. Morka in the letter disassociating the NWC from the letter titled: “APC Presidential Campaign Council – Abdullahi Adamu did not write Tinubu” had said:”To be clear, the “draft” letter did not emanate from the party. “Many of us have agreed to stand by our decision on the letters to Tinubu and Buhari. Daily Sun gathered that the decision by Morka to officially distance the NWC as author of the draft letter, given ongoing rift with the PCC is causing serious ripples and division among members of the party’s leadership. We never agreed on such decision to warrant him making such U-turn unilaterally on the decision we took during our meeting on Wednesday.
