A senior official in the Ministry of Education, who didn’t want his name mentioned, disclosed that “the circular was withdrawn to allow for more negotiation between government and the ASUU following the ongoing invention by the Speaker of the House of Representatives”. ASUU: Federal Govt. retracts order directing reopening of varsities ... (P.M. News)

The Federal Government has recalled an earlier directive to Vice Chancellors of public universities to reopen the institutions.

The letter was titled “Re: Forwarding of Court Judgement and Enforcement of Order by the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN) in Suit No. Consequently, the said circular is withdrawn. Abubakar Rasheed, demanded the obedience to an order of the National Industrial Court.
