Pick: The Judgement Day wins -- Mahjouri (also Brookhouse) There has been a desire to see the intercontinental title return to its former glory. Pick: Gunther retains the title -- Mahjouri (also Brookhouse) Rollins has gotten over on Riddle too many times in a row and now Riddle needs to get the win here to re-establish himself. Pick: Liv Morgan retains the title -- Brookhouse (also Mahjouri) Baszler gives Morgan the opportunity to face a Rousey-style opponent from the world of MMA and prove she can hang. The SummerSlam match with Ronda Rousey was something of a disaster, with Morgan winning because the referee missed her tapping out -- which is a terrible way to book a babyface champion. The SmackDown women's title and intercontinental championship will also both be on the line. Theory could cash in and take a pinfall, leading to some sort of convoluted outcome where Reigns and McIntyre split the two world titles. It's a big show with major stakes and the continuation of big storylines. Unfortunately, this match is set up with both belts on the line and I don't see WWE moving them both off of Reigns. The cut a promo earlier this week similar to that of UFC legends Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier where they were interviewed in separate rooms and screaming at each other.
Roman Reigns retained his WWE Undisputed Universal Championship over Drew McIntyre in the WWE's return to Cardiff.
can watch it on BT Sport, while Australian's can watch the event on Foxtel and the WWE Network. And although she drew the biggest reactions out of the crowd, she played it well by tagging out before the chants overwhelmed the match. A Celtic Cross drew a near fall that had the crowd on the edge of their seat. But it was Kai's kick, Bayley's Roseplant and Io's moonsault that ended up putting Belair down for the count. The only thing that slightly hurt the match is that the finish was never in doubt. The two went through a phenomenal exchange of offense that ended with Rollins hitting a Pedigree for a near fall. Riddle's emotions got the best of him as he went for a chair shot that saw Rollins avoid and land a curb stomp, followed by an Avalanche Curb stomp for the finish. The fact that Rey and Dominick Mysterio have been entangled in this feud for as long as they have is also odd. Reigns slapped on a guillotine choke but McIntyre managed to power out and would spear Reigns through the barricade. Riddle rushed Rollins to open the match, which signaled that Rollins plan was in effect as Rollins routinely attempted to slow down his furious opponent. McIntyre looked on in bewilderment and was cut down by one last spear from Reigns for the finish. But the presence of the Usos younger brother gave Reigns the distraction he needed to escape as champion.

The action continues inside the ring and McIntyre finally hits Reigns with a Claymore kick. Here are the Highlights from WWE Clash at The Castle 2022:
WWE Clash at the Castle was a special night in Cardiff, Wales. Many crowd favorites had performances that will survive the test of time, even if not all of.
It was a once-in-a-lifetime night, including the return of "Broken Dreams" to herald his entrance. The future is bright for both men, but a moment was lost here. Sheamus had the match of his career with Gunther. It is time for them to escape the confines of this rivalry. Reigns has defeated just about everyone and run through the field. The Judgment Day have lost every major match with Edge and Rey Mysterio involved. Finn Balor and Damian Priest still can't pick up a win against the veterans. This was a moment equivalent to The Shield winning its first six-man tag team match. WWE Clash at the Castle was a special night in Cardiff, Wales. Sky and Kai had already defeated Asuka and Bliss, which was important, but Belair remained the elusive target. The whole crowd was behind him, and he was close before Solo Sikoa got involved. Defeating them makes a major statement, but it is even bigger because The Role Model pinned the reigning Raw women's titleholder.
McIntyre came within inches of winning the undisputed title in a match that saw involvement from Tyson Fury.
Rollins then tried to hit an RKO, but Riddle blocked the move and began to brutally attack Rollins with strikes before trying to hit Rollins with a chair. As Rollins rolled out of the ring, he was hit with a kick to the face before Riddle hit a Floating Bro to the outside. Fury then helped McIntyre to his feet and raised his hand before getting on the mic to tell McIntyre he did the country proud before singing "American Pie." The two then brawled, both hitting big moves before McIntyre hit a spear and a Claymore, seemingly having the match won when the referee was dragged from the ring by Solo Sikoa, the younger brother of The Usos, setting Reigns up for a spear to retain the title. McIntyre continued to take the fight to Reigns, clotheslining him over the top rope before throwing him into the barricade, ring apron and ring steps on the outside. Looking for a way to keep McIntyre down, Reigns locked in a guillotine choke but McIntyre smashed him into the turnbuckle to break the hold, only for Reigns to immediately lock it in again. Rollins then finished off the match with a stomp off the second rope for the win. Bayley then hit a Rose Plant and SKY hit a moonsault to allow Bayley to score the pin. Rollins hit a superplex and rolled through looking to continue the momentum, but Riddle was able to reverse into a fisherman buster and a knee to the jaw. Morgan was able to reach the ropes to break the hold and shortly after hit Oblivion to score the win. Baszler tried to stomp on Morgan's arm, but Morgan locked in a triangle and then an armbar to nearly score the submission. Baszler stomped her way out before a knee to the jaw nearly scored her the victory.

Roman Reigns got on the mic and asked Cardiff to acknowledge him. This was a clever heel turn after Dominick Mysterio helped Edge and Rey win, making it seem like WWE was going to delay the heel turn even more. The story of this match (Rollins using Matt Riddle’s anger against him) was great as this match got better the longer it went. Clash at the Castle saw the debut of Solo Sikoa, who cost Drew McIntyre the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. He did not wrestle in the mask. Dominick finally pulled the trigger on a heel turn, low-blowing Edge and clotheslining Rey Mysterio. Gunther set the bar for match of the weekend. He’s running away with Announcer of the Year. Sheamus vs. Sheamus for the Intercontinental Championship. Gunther was next. WWE Clash at the Castle 2022
Solo Sikoa cost Drew McIntyre the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WWE Clash at the Castle.
As the more aloof, more calculating, and more dominant Head of the Table, Reigns carried the company on his back. WWE delivered in promoting its main event, airing a series of vignettes chronicling McIntyre and Reigns en route one of WWE’s biggest main events in years. With exclusively predictable results—where all of the favorites went over—and no surprise returns, Clash at the Castle came off as more of a house show. With a massive crowd on hand at Principality Stadium, the table was set for WWE to replicate a doubly historic win: A WWE aired a “Broken Dreams” video package prior to the match starting as the partisan crowd was solidly behind the hometown hero. The match saw the debut of Solo Sikoa, who pulled the referee out of the ring just as it seemed McIntyre was going to finally defeat Roman Reigns.
Would The Scottish Warrior feed off the support of a home crowd and put an end to The Tribal Chief's dominance as the undisputed WWE universal champion or would ...
He recovered and delivered his own Spear back in the ring for a dramatic two-count. That will not change, and this was Reigns' match to win because propelling things forward with the addition of Sikoa to The Bloodline is a bigger development than McIntyre winning the title. - The crowd's love of the Scot was awe-inspiring. He knows exactly when to throw his shoulder off the mat to maximize the drama, and the result is often a contest that has fans completely invested. Solo Sikoa debuted in the closing moments, pulling the referee out of the ring and preventing a three-count following one last Claymore from McIntyre. The transitions, counters and reversals were great, and Riddle barely rolling his shoulder off the mat during near-falls was a nice touch. Like Rollins and Riddle, Reigns and McIntyre have wild in-ring chemistry, developed from working house shows and TV dark matches against each other for the better part of a year. In this case, predictable is far from bad as The Role Model is a genuine star and the most logical option to challenge for the gold. The second-generation competitor badly needed to break free from his father and turn heel, if only to establish his own identity. Hard strikes, heavy-hitting moves and a couple of near-falls followed before the Irishman attempted a Brogue Kick. The match was a good David vs. isolated Asuka and cut her off from the rest of her team.

The only thing that slightly hurt the match is that the finish was never in doubt. Unfortunately, it was a challenge to present her as a scrappy underdog champion against one of the most violent women on the roster. The two went through a phenomenal exchange of offense that ended with Rollins hitting a Pedigree for a near fall. The fact that Rey and Dominick Mysterio have been entangled in this feud for as long as they have is also odd. Rollins planted the seeds from early in the feud and they sprouted at just the right time. Riddle's emotions got the best of him as he went for a chair shot that Rollins avoided. But "The Architect" had a plan that brilliantly played out. McIntyre looked on in bewilderment and was cut down by one last spear from Reigns for the finish. Reigns countered another Claymore Kick with a spear for yet another near fall that had those in attendance believing that this would be the night McIntyre ended The Tribal Chief's championship reign. But the presence of The Usos' younger brother gave Reigns the distraction he needed to escape.

WWE Clash at the Castle offered wrestling fans a fun night of sports entertainment. Let's review every match from the Cardiff Clash, ranked!
This was easily the match of the night, Hands Down. This match was a huge fan service for the crowd in the Principality Stadium. The match started with a bang with both the factions going right into a brawl while their leaders had a stare-down. Gunther retained in the end with the help of a rocking lariat. Back to back near falls, with Drew even kicking out of two spears made it seem as if a new champion was on the horizon. The highlight of the match is Edge hitting a perfectly timed 619. Along with the in-ring action, what made this even better was the psychological warfare between the two. This match kicked off the main show and was indeed the perfect choice for the show. The match ended when Morgan picked up the surprise victory after pinning Shayna with a codebreaker into oblivion. This match was announced just a few hours before the show and served its purpose. The match saw its finish after Damage Control hit the Raw Women’s Champion with the Triple-Attack, hence resulting in Bayley pinning Belair in the process. The event, felt like WWE’s main roster version of a TakeOver, considering how each match got enough time and room to tell the desired story.

[Drew McIntyre](https://www.sportskeeda.com/player/drew-mcintyre), as McIntyre gave [Roman Reigns](https://www.sportskeeda.com/player/roman-reigns) everything he had and then some. Austin Theory was on a role at WWE Clash at the Castle. Despite Sikoa being an obvious choice due to his relationship with The Usos and Roman Reigns, you must question whether adding another member to The Bloodline is a smart decision or not. The way Theory sold the knockout punch was priceless. Theory has the potential to become the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion someday. Fury was in attendance for the event as he got involved and knocked Theory out cold before he could cash in on his contract. Dominik Mysterio interfered and helped his father and Edge pick up the win. [Dominik Mysterio](https://www.sportskeeda.com/player/dominick-mysterio) did what many in the WWE Universe felt was coming and turned heel. WWE Clash at the Castle 2022 is in the history books, and the event has more than delivered the goods. The celebrations were cut short when Dominik took Edge out with a low blow, then delivered a thunderous lariat to his father. Despite having a fantastic bout with Edge and Rey Mysterio, the veterans were too much for Balor and Priest. With that being said, we look at the winners and losers of this event.
