The 20-year-old has mainly featured for Norwich Cityโ€™s Under-23 squad over the past two seasons, logging 52 appearances and three goals in total. Tomkinson started and logged 90 minutes in Norwich Cityโ€™s 4-2 penalty shootout win over the Blues, after the EFL Championship clubs were level 2-2 after 90 minutes.

Approaching the final ten it appeared the away side's efforts would be for nothing but, after threatening from a set-piece in the first-half, they made one count. Instead, it proved to be a case of third-time lucky for the attacker. It was just a shame that Leko's charge into the box was not matched by a wayward finish. However, Norwich had ideas of their own and from a fortuitously deflected cross took the lead in first-half stoppage time. Such a moment led to a promising spell around the half-hour mark. Jordan Graham hung up a corner from the right and Roberts wrestled himself space to make contact, spinning his header over.
