Ozuah became president and CEO of Montefiore Medicine in 2019 after 34 years of service as a medical practitioner. Other dignitaries in attendance included Emmanuel ‘Dipo Otolorin, the President of ICOMAA Worldwide, and Abib Olamitoye, a former President of ICOMAA Worldwide. The First Foundation Stone was laid on behalf of the Pro-Chancellor by his representative, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Kayode Adebowale FAS mni. The Provost welcomed all the dignitaries among whom were four past Provosts. The Provost of the CoMUI who had also served as Pioneer Chief Medical Director, University College Hospital – Emeritus Professor Oluwole Akande was in attendance. The dignitaries then moved from the A.O.K. Johnson Boardroom to the proposed site of the New Hostel Complex for the sod-turning ceremony. Here, they were joined by members of the Board of Management of the University College Hospital Ibadan led by the Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Bako Shettima. Other members of the Board present at this event were Hon Bamidele Oloruntoba, Dr Michael Somoye, Professor Titus Ibekwe, Professor Grace Fadupin, Dr. Adeyanju Olasoji and Professor G.O. Babawale.
